Application of Ast®-1330 Scratch Resistance Agent
Ast®-1330 scratch resistance agent is a liquid-delivered, non-migratory, long-lasting scratch resistance agent that is mainly used for:
▪ Polyolefin polymers (PP, PE);
▪ Automotive interior and exterior PP/TPО trim parts;
▪ Polyolefin and thermoplastic blends (PP/PBT, PP/PA, PP/ABS, etc.);
▪ Thermoplastic elastomers (TPEE, TPR, TPE).

Advantages of Ast®-1330 Scratch Resistance Agent
▪ Ast®-1330 can provide non-migratory, long-lasting scratch resistance;
▪ Ast®-1330 is efficient and does not need to be mixed with amide compounds;
▪ Ast®-1330 provides no negative impact on touch feel;
▪ Ast®-1330 has no effect on the surface coating, printing, and adhesion of the product while meeting the scratch resistance of the product surface;
▪ Ast®-1330 is suitable for 10% to 40% talc filling in automotive interior and exterior trim parts;
▪ Ast®-1330 is low VOC and odorless;
▪ Ast®-1330 does not affect the gloss of the polymer surface if it is dispersed sufficiently in the polymer through a liquid metering device or pre-mixed

Physical Performance Indicator
Appearance: Transparent liquid
Viscosity (25℃): 950-2000mPa's

Dosage and Usage
▪ The maximum dosage of Ast®-1330 can reach 3%, without affecting the surface coating, printing, and adhesion of the product;
▪ In the PP/talc system, the recommended dosage of Ast®-1330 is 0.75% to 2.0%, and the dosage of talc increases, the dosage of Ast®-1330 increases accordingly;
▪ Ast®-1330 can be added during mixing to enhance scratch resistance;
▪ Ast®-1330 can be fully pre-mixed with each component of the polymer system or only pre-mixed with the filler powder. A better method is to add Ast®-1330 to the molten polymer melt through a quantitative feeding pump;
▪ A better method is to make Ast®-1330 into a scratch-resistant masterbatch for good scratch resistance effect.
